Pichipehuenco
Pichipehuenco is a small mountain area located in the commune of Lonquimay, in the Araucanía Region of Chile. Situated in a privileged environment, it stands out for its natural beauty, with araucaria forests, crystal-clear rivers, and mountain landscapes near the Lonquimay volcano.
Historically, this area has been inhabited by the Mapuche-Pehuenche people, who have preserved their traditions and close relationship with nature. The community has maintained a way of life linked to livestock farming, harvesting, and the sustainable use of forest resources.


The Lonquimay Volcano is an imposing, flat-topped stratovolcano located in the Araucanía Region of Chile. It lies approximately 40 km southwest of Pichipehuenco, within a landscape of mountains, native forests, and extensive mountain valleys.
The Lonquimay Volcano is an ideal destination for snow and mountain sports enthusiasts. On its slopes is the Corralco Ski Center, which offers modern ski and snowboard slopes surrounded by unparalleled scenery.
